Design and implementation of new emerging markets business in large multinational. Integration of 5 strategic business units to single regional business with $400m+ revenues leveraging common functions and driving collaborative growth culture (£2m productivity).
  • Driving productivity: Created lean structures reducing organisational layers including removal of European regional management layer ($14m productivity); layer reduction in Middle East organisation ($2m productivity); implementing hub transitions ($3m productivity). Seamless transition of Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) customer service and supply chain to low-cost hub ($1.8m productivity).
  • Processes and Tools: Lean Expert Certified. Implemented integrated service management system/field automation and EMEA support team. Supply chain broad scale value stream mapping (VSM) driving forecast accuracy, inventory and cycle time reduction. Led implementation of material application RPA in ERP reducing labour and partial order shipments.
  • People Leadership: 20+ years of leading teams from small technical and project teams to direct sales organisation (250+ direct salespeople).
  • Innovating/testing/validating/maturing new business models: Launched Middle East localisation program (Fire product assembly line). Implemented new sales channel in utilities industry – from conceptual design to mature channel delivering 30% of total sales volumes. Created an integrated, standardised and centralised customer service channel in buildings control business and led to mature operation improving productivity by 20% through process and organisation improvement.
  • Sales Excellence: Developed and implemented integrated sales performance management and development process (30% revenue growth). Re-engineered Airport Lighting business sales/bid process. Implemented process to manage sales target allocations and pay-plan deployment. Led significant sales and revenue growth across B2B and B2C in telecoms and utilities industries.
  • KPIs and Visual Management Systems: Implemented a vast array of KPI and visual management systems from real time service centre requests to business level balanced scorecards visually displayed in high impact areas. Daily tiered accountability boards driving short cycle management activity and employee engagement.
